Plot Synopsis
The latest Korean dating show that has us hooked is Wavve‘s Love Alarm Clap! Clap! Clap!, which is based on the Webtoon-turned-K-Drama Love Alarm. It follows a similar plot: a dating app communicates to users if someone within ten meters has romantic feelings for them. The eight contestants, all appearing under a nickname, get to select the two users they have feelings for in their “Love Alarm” app.
During Episode 11, one of the contestants, Jasmine, went viral for how honestly she showed her feelings. She revealed that she liked one of the other women contestants, White Rose, and wanted to date her.Naturally, viewers are shipping the two, hoping they will be endgame. Yet, scenes like the one below have fans concerned they might remain “just friends” if White Rose doesn’t reciprocate romantic feelings.
